In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, we are reminded: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” The challenge to live gratefully is for all of us. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, we can always find a reason to say, “Thank you” to the One who gives us every breath. (- Paige).
During Lunch, the students had the chance to eat an authentic thanksgiving meal! We had honey glazed ham, maple syrup glazed carrot, mash potato, rice, fish cake soup, and to top it off we ended the meal with fresh clementines. 🍂
The excitement was in the air when everyone came to see their once school turn into a huge blanket fort! It was a day filled with sweets, morning songs/games, and WAFFLES. The kids started out the morning with fresh from the toaster -- waffles with whip cream, REAL fruit toppings, and melt in your mouth syrup. Some classes even got to relax with a thrilling movie in their comfy PJs! Wow what a day 😴
Our school makes sure the students and staff understand and know every safety regulation. The fire drill is one of many safety reminders we like to repetitively do in our school. Every 60 days, we make sure our whole school knows where to go and what to do. For each student to come outside in a single file line -- QUIETLY, and to wait patiently at their post. 🚒
Our yearly Merrymead farm field trip! Every year in the fall, YSA likes to go to Merrymead Farm in Lansdale, PA (www.merrymead.com ). There, we get the trill of an enriched educational experience at their family owned farm. 🌾
First, we got to hop on to their scenic hayride and enjoy some fresh crisp fall weather with the whole family. Then, made friends with the scarecrow as he told us the fun story of Johnny Appleseed. Last, we adventured out into the corn stalk maze, hoping that we would find our way back! The day ended with everyone going home with their very own pumpkin and fresh out of the oven apple cider doughnuts *yumm.
The Kids had their first day of Yuong Sang Academy (YSA)! We are already into our new curriculum 'Mother Goose Time' (www.mothergoosetime.com). The students are learning physical, social, and creative through this fast learning new curriculum.
As our kids are inside learning majority of the day, we want our kids to have some time to get moving and active! YSA teachers are trying to squeeze out as much outdoor recess as much as possible before our beautiful warm weather becomes too cold. 📚
